Nicholas Coleridge

V&A

Chairman

Nicholas Coleridge is chair of the Victoria and Albert Museum, a position that reflects his lifelong “love affair with London’s world-class galleries and museums”. His tenure has seen the museum broaden its appeal and increase its visitorship. Coleridge has put his success at the V&A down to“finding the right balance between the Zeitgeisty stuff and the specialist exhibitions”. Prior to this, he was a major figure in the magazine and fashion industries for over four decades. Coleridge has written fourteen books and is the first person to be awarded all four of the publishing industry’s Lifetime Achievement Awards. He has also served as chair of the British Fashion Council and chair of the Professional Publishers Association.
