Jessica Berry founded the Maritime Archaeology Sea Trust (MAST) in 2011. MAST investigates Britain’s maritime past in order to protect the nation’s maritime heritage and has led a number of major British and international projects. It works closely with academic establishments, government bodies and agencies, museums and avocational groups. Berry is a fellow of both the Society of Antiquaries and the Royal Geographical Society. She is a member of the Nautical Archaeology Society and the Joint Nautical Archaeology Policy Committee. Berry is a published academic author and an experienced practising maritime archaeologist herself.
