Simon Thomas is CEO and chair of Hippodrome Casino Limited, an extensive and world-class leisure casino complex in London. He is deeply embedded in the industry, having held a myriad of positions in associations and committees. He is the immediate past chairman of the strategy committee of the National Casino Forum, the UK casino industry association. He is also an active member of Bacta and was the organisation’s youngest ever president (from 1999 to 2001). Thomas has also served as a member of the equivalent committee of the Bingo Association, which led to his involvement with the Gambling Commission, the DCMS and the Treasury. Thomas has been director of the Heart of London Business Alliance. He initially entered the field as managing director of Thomas Estates Ltd for 17 years, which became a major innovator in the bingo and amusement industry. Thomas is director of Next Generation Australia and managing director at World Bingo Tech.
