Snapshot

Angela Richardson has lived in the UK since 1999, but the very slightest twang in her accent hints at her Kiwi origins. She began her investment banking career in Auckland, then moved to London’s square mile for three years with Schroders and AXA Investment Managers. She left the world of finance to raise her three children, and has spent the past decade living with them and her husband in Surrey. She has involved herself in the local community in a variety of ways as a parish councillor, a local Conservative campaigner, and a keen contributor to the ewhurst players. She voted for Boris Johnson in his leadership campaign, and for Brexit in the 2016 referendum, and won a 3,337 majority in Guildford in 2019. Richardson is vice-chair of the APPG for Australia and New Zealand. She has also been a member of APPGs on climate change; vaccination; baby loss; building communities; ending homelessness; and loan charge. Richardson has been a strong advocate for electric buses and has invested time in trying to improving communications between train companies and train users.
