President of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) since 2018, globetrotting think tank chief Beatrice Weder Di Mauro divides the rest of her busy schedule between professorships and fellowships at European universities. The entrepreneur worked as an economist for the IMF and the World Bank during the 1990s before working for the Swiss and later German commissions of economic experts. Last year Di Mauro joined the WHO’s Europe Office on sustainable development. Di Mauro advises CEPR colleagues on global finance, government relations and international institutions, having gained significant experience in each area.
