Guy Robinson is a lobbyist and former special adviser to the Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs. He is the current head of government relations at Tesco, where his extensive experience as a lobbyist and government advisor have served him well – providing him with deep industry knowledge of political affairs, speech writing and campaigning, stakeholder management and public policy. Robinson’s first high-profile professional role was as head of political research at the Countryside Alliance; he later worked at the Greater London Authority as a senior government relations officer, before moving to Crosby Textor Fullbrook as a Campaign Executive and lobbyist. Robinson rose to public prominence as the special adviser to three consecutive Secretaries of State at Defra under the Conservative government: Owen Paterson, Elizabeth Truss, and Andrea Leadsom. He left the department upon his appointment to his current role as Tesco’s head of government relations in June 2017.
