Itinera is a think tank which researches major social issues with scientific rigour, in order to promote better governance. Itinera was founded in 2006 by entrepreneurs and academics. It is privately funded and focuses on:
Creation of prosperity: growth, entrepreneurship, enterprises; good governance: government, tax policy and budget reviews; democratic inclusion: education, employment, integration, welfare state.
Itinera translates expertise into pathways for better policies and long-term vision and works with a highly qualified team of recognised experts from across Belgium and abroad.
Their reports are published both online and in the media and they also participate actively in public debates.
Itinera is also described as a “do-tank”. It makes the results of its studies known to the outside world, and liaises with all social forces in policymaking, administration and civil society. Itinera aims to have impact on policy in a transparent manner, in order to promote a long-term and sustainable vision.
