Russ Brady is head of colleague and corporate communications at The Co-op, a position he assumed in 2019. Prior to this, he served over 22 years as the Co-op’s head of group public relations; he thus led the response to the Co-op crisis of 2013 and subsequent successful rebuilding of the company’s corporate reputation. Brady led the brand relaunch and membership proposition, which helped to double Co-op membership to 4.6 million, and multi-award winning corporate PR campaigns such as loneliness and Modern Slavery resulting in direct policy change at government level. Brady is well connected across retail, business, financial services and consumer services sectors and is a recognised industry commentator. He was a top 10 member of the 2020 PR Week Power Book.
