GamStop is a free UK-wide self-exclusion provider that puts controls in place to help restrict your online gambling activities. Fiona Palmer is CEO of GamStop, a self-exclusion system developed in the UK for local players, which launched in 2018. In 2019, GamStop was officially accepted by the Gambling Commission and it was mandated that all UK casinos and betting sites must become part of the network – thereby cooperating in blocking access to players who have the account and self-exclusion scheme. GamStop is used by over 160,000 gamblers. In January 2021, the charity partnered with Gamcare and GamBan to launch the TalkBanStop initiative to pool their offerings of free tools for managing betting behaviour. GamStop also has a unique focus on women, having launched a Women’s Programme with 55,000 subscribers.
