W Communications hires lead for hospitality practice

W Communications has recruited a former director from luxury PR firm CuraConn

Ally Weller joins W Communications as a director, where she will lead the agency’s hospitality practice. PRWeek understands that this marks the first time the agency has appointed a lead dedicated solely to its hospitality work. Weller will report to board director Philippa Barker, who previously worked with the agency’s hospitality clients but will now focus her attention on business development and PR. Weller joins W Communications with a strong network of luxury hospitality and media contacts, following nearly two years at CuraConn. Her previous experience includes almost three years at Full Fat Agency, alongside communications roles at Perowne International, ING Media and travel agent Day 8. In her new role, Weller will oversee the division’s latest campaign for Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen, delivered as part of W’s brief with The Cumberland Hotel. She will also work with Chomp, a standalone W-backed agency focusing on TikTok and Gen-Z campaigns for emerging food brands. Separate...
