Sir Anthony Seldon's new book goes down well with Olly Robbins

To the launch of Sir Anthony Seldon’s May at 10 at the Royal Over-Seas League in the lead-up to Christmas. Olly Robbins, looking fresh from his appointment as a managing director in Goldman Sachs’ investment banking division, loomed over the occasion. And Jeremy Heywood’s widow Suzanne, to whom the book is dedicated, told the audience: “Jeremy would have been honoured.” May, we suspect, would be less impressed by the historian’s verdict. He addressed a crowd which included Sky News political editor Adam Boulton, entrepreneur Luke Johnson and journalist Anne McEvoy, saying: “Her problem was that she didn’t listen to advice.” Cut to Robbins smiling inscrutably.Anthony
