A rising star in Number Ten and well regarded by both the press pack and other Spads, Rosie Bate-Williams handled regional press in Number Ten before being promoted to deputy press secretary. Having volunteered for Johnson on both his re-election campaign in 2012 and again in his Conservative leadership campaign, she was hand-picked by Lee Cain for a senior role in the Downing Street press office. The graduate of Newcastle University has also worked for Portland, at Defra, in CCHQ and for Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown in his parliamentary office.
