Head of procurement law and the public sector group at Burges Salmon LLP, John Houlden also leads the law firm’s community responsibility programme. With experience across defence, nuclear, public sector, education and railways, Houlden has a wealth of expertise that he has put to use on infrastructure, commercial, public procurement and State aid projects – for example, advising the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, the Home Office (on its Disclosure and Barring Service procurement) and Eurostar.
