Will Walden advises CEO and c-suite level clients on crisis, campaigns, the media, politics and international relations. He previously ran Edelman’s UK public affairs division. Walden was chief counsel and communications director to Prime Minister Boris Johnson for many years. He helped run Johnson’s successful 2019 leadership campaign, before leading the prime minister’s transition team at Ten Downing Street. He has also worked at the foreign office as Johnson’s chief advisor and as director of communications and official spokesman during Johnson’s mayoralty at City Hall. In 2012 Walden led pan-London communications during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Previously, he spent nearly 20 years as a senior journalist with the BBC and ITN as a reporter, editor and producer, including spells as chief political producer, Westminster news editor and deputy bureau chief in the Americas.
