Conall McDevitt has powered Hume Brophy’s growth from medium-sized agency spread thinly across three offices to a highly connected consultancy in Westminster with substantial communications offerings in Brussels and the Far East. From a start as maternity cover, he quickly impressed the agency’s founders, bringing to his rapidly elevated role the listening and negotiating skills he had honed as the SDLP’s director of communications during the Good Friday Agreement talks. McDevitt’s sectoral experience includes finance, strategic economic planning, innovation policy, energy, agrifood, bioscience, tourism, mining and exploration, and spatial planning. As befits a former MLA who led on reconciliation and north-south policy, McDevitt is also considered an expert on issues and crisis management.
