John Duhig has more than 25 years’ experience of EU public affairs, working at the European Commission for a number of years before entering the private sector. He advises clients on navigating the highest levels of the EU institutions. He leads advocacy and client servicing on the European Green Deal across the BOLDT group. He has designed and led successful lobbying campaigns with the EU institutions and the European Parliament in particular, on a diverse range of policy issues. Duhig also counsels international NGOs on biodiversity protection and saving threatened and endangered species. He is particularly passionate about ending the international ivory trade, and was part of the successful campaign to end the trade in baby elephants agreed at the Geneva Convention on the Trade in Endangered Species in 2019.
