Home Office comms deputy rejoins the Cabinet Office

Alice Parker has nearly a decade of experience in government communications.

Alice Parker has returned to the Cabinet Office as deputy director for Civil Service communications, with responsibility for internal communications and engagement. She took up the role last month. In a post on LinkedIn, she said: “When the opportunity came up to return to my government roots in 70 Whitehall, I had to go for it. The world is at a profound inflection point, and it’s an exciting time to be supporting delivery of the Cabinet Secretary’s and Permanent Secretaries’ priorities.”

She has left the Home Office after nearly five years. Most recently she was Deputy Comms Director there but has also held the roles of Head of Comms (safeguarding) and Head of Comms (illegal migration – upstream and international). Prior to her roles at the Home Office, she was at the Cabinet Office for almost four years, as a Senior Strategic Comms Officer and before that as a campaigns manager.
