Teach First

Founder

Brett Wigdortz wrote the original business plan for the education charity he set up while a management consultant at McKinsey and never returned from a planned 6-month leave once his idea took off. Teach First is a social enterprise that coordinates an employment-based teaching training programme where top graduates are placed in disadvantaged schools for a commitment of two years. It is currently the largest recruiter of graduates in the UK. Wigdortz is also founder and board member of the Fair Education Alliance, co-founder and CEO of Tiney, a digital childcare services start-up, and non-executive chairman of the National Citizen Service Trust.
