The David Ross Education Trust

Founder

David Ross, an entrepreneur best known for co-founding the Carphone Warehouse Group in 1991, also set up the eponymous network of academies committed to becoming one of the top-performing multi-academy trusts in the country. The first school to join the David Ross Education Trust was Havelock Academy, a secondary school in Ross’s hometown of Grimsby. Thirty three other schools have now joined. Outside the trust, Ross is Chair of the New Schools Network, the National Portrait Gallery and the University of Nottingham’s Development Committee. He is also a board member of the Olympic Association and the Commonwealth Games England.
