Sir Ed Davie has been hard done by at the green-energy firm he consults for

Not every imagination was captured by the Liberal Democrats electing Sir Ed Davey as their new leader. This seemingly extends to Savile Row-based green-energy merchant bank NextEnergy Capital. Davey sits on the firm’s advisory board and, according to the register of members’ interests, receives £18,000 annually for his part-time work. But his NextEnergy biography ends with: “Since leaving the Commons, he has set up his own business – Energy Destinations – and consults in the energy space.” Sir Ed might wish to consult them about his recent political fortunes....
