Bloomberg names global head of communications

Oisin O’Malley Daly will oversee growth markets and public policy.

Oisin O’Malley Daly has been appointed to the newly created position of global head of communications, a role that reflects Bloomberg’s growing presence across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. O’Malley Daly will report to Jason Schechter, Bloomberg's chief comms officer in New York, USA. He has seven years of experience with Bloomberg and most recently held the position of head of communications for EMEA. During his time at the company, he also undertook a six-month secondment as senior director of communications for the Earthshot Prize, a global environmental award founded by Prince William. Prior to joining Bloomberg, O’Malley Daly worked for public affairs agency Portland, where he advised global corporations on financial communications, crisis management and government engagement. Earlier in his career, he worked as a consultant at Quiller Consultants, managing corporate communications and public affairs for FTSE 250 companies. He also served as a parliamentary offi...
