Phil Hogan is a former European Commissioner, Irish minister for the environment and local government, as well as an experienced politician.
From 2014 to 2020, he had been at the forefront of European politics, opening export markets, reforming the common agricultural policy to increase sustainability, banning unfair trading practises and rebuilding the EU/USA trading relationship. He has engaged in the global marketplace that has generated unprecedented trade surpluses for European food companies, as well as engaging energetically in removing trade barriers.
In his position as Irish minister (2011 to 2014), he was responsible for the key reforms that made up the Programme of Recovery during the financial crisis. He has recently established Hogan Consulting which will offer strategic advice to company CEOs and senior management.
