With a reputation as one of the leading centres for the analysis and development of environmental policy (both in Europe and more widely), the Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) brings a non-partisan perspective to issues surrounding (among others) nature conservation, agriculture, climate change, transport and the marine environment. With clients including the European Commission and the European Parliament, the IEEP’s reputation is well-established. Céline Charveriat has been executive director since 2016, and her expertise in sustainable development, the European Semester and climate change has seen tangible steps towards the implementation of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals in Europe. Charveriat is the founder of the Think2030 platform, an independent group of experts working to identify science-policy solutions to a more sustainable Europe. She has also founded the Think Sustainable Europe network and is a member of the European Commission’s high-level Economic and Social Impacts of Innovation and Research group.
