Appointed CEO of the Girls’ Day School Trust in 2016, Cheryl Giovannoni oversees some 25 independent girls’ schools and two academies across the UK. Giovannoni has overseen a strategic review of the trust, and launched a new branding and national advertising campaign. Brought up in South Africa, Giovannoni ran three companies in the consultancy, communications and advertising sectors. She was European president of Landor from 2009 to 2011, later becoming global president. Giovannoni has dedicated time to mentoring and coaching young women, in part through Women in Advertising and Communications in London programmes.
