Formerly press secretary at Number Ten, Robert Oxley is slightly lower profile these days as media Spad at the Foreign Office. “Roxstar”’s background as a campaigner not just on the Vote Leave campaign, but at the Taxpayers’ Alliance and pro-Brexit organisation Business For Britain cement his credentials on the right of the party. He also worked for Deliveroo for two years. Formerly Spad to Priti Patel at the Department for International Development and to Sir Michael Fallon at the Ministry of Defence, Oxley is perhaps best known for swearing at a Good Morning Britain reporter live on air immediately prior to Johnson’s famous hiding-in-the-fridge moment.
