A specialist in infrastructure planning, Hazel Anderson is a partner at Winckworth Sherwood. Having spent a number of years managing conferences in mechanical engineering and mining and metallurgy, Anderson attended law school in 1996 and began her 22-year career at Winckworth Sherwood in 1998. Focusing on the authorisation of railway, tram and harbour schemes, Anderson has recently advised on the HS2 hybrid Bill and Network Rail’s Northern Hub programme. She is particularly experienced in advising on Environmental Impact Assessment and Habitats Directive issues for large-scale projects. Anderson has acted for the Environment Agency, Royal Mail and the National Grid, and was top-ranked in the UK Chambers lists 2020 and 2021.
