Gary Attle is a partner at Mills & Reeve, a legal adviser to universities, colleges, and public bodies. He joined the firm in 1990. His work focuses on higher education and research institutions helping with constitutional and liability issues. This includes questions of power, duties and rights under public, private and charity law following the 2017 Higher Education and Research Act. Attle studied at Oxford, the College of Law and Harvard Business School and takes a particular interest in matters relating to the United Nations. He has contributed to several legal policy textbooks and advised educational institutions on the 2018 Data Protection Act and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
