Snapshot

Katherine Fletcher grew up in Greater Manchester, completed her A Levels at Altrincham Girls Grammar School, and became the first member of her family to go to university when she studied Biology at Nottingham. She had a varied career working for firms including Capgemini and Lloyds Banking Group until in 2012 she founded her own furniture business. In the middle of her high-flying career, she trained as a Safari Ranger in South Africa, and loved hosting guests and showing them the Big Five game animals, as well as her own personal favourite, giraffes. Her background in environmental sciences results in a great love for the environment in the UK as well, and Fletcher spends her spare time birdwatching and exploring the Lakes, Peak District, and North Wales. She has an interest in palaeontology, and continues to this day to support Manchester United. Her majority for the Conservatives in South Ribble is 11,199.
