The former deputy prime minister and foreign secretary will be advising Kreab global clients on defence and intelligence-related issues, as well as international geopolitics and Westminster issues.

Former Deputy Prime Minister, the Rt Hon Dominic Raab has joined Kreab London as a senior adviser. He is the latest deputy PM to join a public affairs firm following Damian Green, Former Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, who joined Bridgehead Communications as a senior adviser; and Nick Clegg who  was vice-president for global affairs and communications at Meta (formerly Facebook) before joining the strategic advisory firm Hakluyt & Company.   In a statement, Kreab London said that Raab will be advising clients on defence and intelligence-related issues, including domestic politics, public policy and international geopolitics.

Raab's role at Kreab London will expand his current portfolio as Head of Global Affairs at Appian Capital Advisory, special envoy to the World Gold Council on artisanal and small scale mining, and as a Distinguished Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI). His previous roles in the UK government, in addition to Deputy Prime Minister, include Foreign Secretary, Secretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor.  Dominic Raab said: “This is a time of fast moving and complex change across domestic politics, public policy and international geopolitics. We are delighted to welcome him to the team.” Several other former ministers have transitioned into public affairs and strategic communications agencies over the past three years to advise clients on government engagement and political risk.    These include: Jonathan Ashworth: Former Shadow Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, who joined Weber Shandwick as UK chairman of public affairs; Michael Dugher: Former Shadow Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, who was appointed as head of the UK public affairs practice at Brunswick Group;Anne-Marie Trevelyan: Former Cabinet Minister who joined Fullbrook Strategies as a strategic global projects adviser Fullbrook Strategies;Laura Farris: Former Ministry of Justice and Home Office minister who became head of litigation communications at FGS Global; and Charles Clarke: Former Home Secretary who joined Shearwater Global following the July 2024 general election; and Damian Collins, former Minister for Tech and the Digital Economy in the Department for Digital, Culture, Media who now leads law firm Geradin's public policy practise in London.  Raab was a Brexiteer who was elected Conservative MP for Esher and Walton in May 2010 and stood down as an MP at the 2024 general election.  Kreab London offers a full range of public affairs and stakeholder engagement services. “In the UK, we represent clients in their relations with government departments, select committees, the UK Civil Service and heads of mission” a spokesperson In both the UK and globally, we support our clients to plan effectively for political campaigns and help them build messages that will resonate with decision makers” the firm said in a statement. The firm employs more than 450 consultants from offices across the world.
