MHP reinforces insurance practice with brand new director hire

A former Lloyd’s of London and government communications specialist has joined MHP Group

Jack Petch has joined MHP Group’s insurance and risk practice as a director. In this role, he will report to Nathan Hambrook-Skinner, the division’s managing director and head. Petch spent the past four years overseeing PR and media at insurance marketplace Lloyd’s of London. Before that, he served as chief press officer at the Cabinet Office and as a senior press officer at the Department for Exiting the European Union. According to the agency, Petch’s appointment follows a series of account wins for MHP’s insurance and risk practice. Recent successes include securing briefs with the Ardonagh Group and C-Quence, as well as advising FTSE 100 insurer Beazley on its £8.2bn acquisition by Zurich. Speaking about his new role, Petch said: “Insurance has never been more important or more closely scrutinised. The market is navigating geopolitical volatility, emerging risks, changing regulation and rapid technological disruption. Clear, credible communications are now a commercial imperative. ...
