Green Party leader recruits new comms advisor

Zack Polanski has drafted in a new advisor from a former party co-leader.

Georgia Elander has taken on the role of special communications adviser to Zack Polanski, leader of the Green Party of England and Wales. Elander joins Polanski’s team from her previous position as a media officer for Carla Denyer, the Green MP for Bristol Central and former party co-leader alongside Adrian Ramsey MP. The newly created role will “provide strategic communications support to the leader as the Green Party moves into a new phase of growth”. Elander will oversee Polanski’s day-to-day communications while also working on longer-term strategic objectives. She will be part of the wider Green Party communications team. Before joining Denyer’s team, Elander spent more than two years as a media officer at Liberty, an independent membership organisation focused on human rights. She has also worked as a media officer for the Centre for Ageing Better and as a group development and social media co-ordinator for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.
