Ex-Prince’s dodgy dealings raises question over lobbying practices

Whilst serving as the UK's trade envoy, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor leaked confidential and market sensitive information to Epstein, raising questions over lobbying practices.

The leaking of confidential Treasury information by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor continues to shine an embarrassing spotlight on the amount of confidential government briefing notes that the ex-Prince leaked whilst he was UK trade envoy from 2001-2011.  On Friday, the Telegraph revealed that Mountbatten-Windsor asked Amanda Thirsk, his then deputy private secretary, to procure obtaining confidential government documents in February 2010 relating to the Icelandic financial crisis. It was revealed that Amanda Thirsk emailed Michael Ellam, the Treasury’s director general of global finance on February 8th 2010, to request a memo on Iceland's financial situation. She did this with the intention of giving this memo to the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor In the email, Thirsk wrote: “The Duke of York met with the prime minister of Iceland at Davos and would very much like to receive an update note on the latest position between the UK and Iceland on the matter of the deposits and the deposit scheme.”...
