Global Britain – more Athenian than Spartan

The Corridor is eagerly waiting Spartan Victory, the upcoming autobiography of Mark Francois, although can’t help but consider Athenian Victory would be a more appropriate title. After all, classical Athens has much more in common with a global Britain than ancient Sparta does, being, as it was, a true democracy with an enterprising and expansive trade policy. And Athens, like Britannia, once ruled the waves too. But then, perhaps Francois opts for laconicisms over sophistry every time......
